Allison's 4th Birthday Party!!

The same weekend as the Balloon Fiesta we got to Celebrate Allison's 4th Birthday. too. It was a pretty big celebration, part of Laura's family was there also. We had burgers and hot dogs at Michael and Laura's house and cake and ice cream after. The girls had a great time playing and the food was wonderful.


Laura's family has a tradition that after you sing Happy Birthday you sing a song in Spanish that says something about daring the person to taking a bite of the cake (you will have to get the exacts from Laura) so they dared Allison to take her bite. But the rest of the game is when you lean down to take your bite someone pushes your face into the cake from behind. Allison thought taking a bite was cool, but she wasn't happy about the help. It makes for some new fun to birthday's, I love new traditions. And Allison was ready for cake, her own piece this time!

Albquerque Balloon Fiesta

We went to Balloon Fiesta last weekend with Grandpa, Grandma, Sharron, Shelby, Laura, Ashley and Allison. It was fun, we went on Friday morning because the weather was supposed to be bad the rest of the weekend (and it was). It was the Shapes Rodeo, so it was all the special shaped balloons. I didn't know what to expect when we got there, and it was alittle slow moving at 1st, but when the balloons started going up they were everywhere.

After the Special Shapes they had a contest and thanks to Grandpa we had the best seats in the house. The Balloons had to fly in and grab tickets of the top on poles. It was really excited and apparently complicated. We were right in front of the pole that the 1st ticket was caught! Way to go Grandpa!

After we watched the competition, we walked over to the Balloon Museum. It was really neat.

Jenny Lynn

Grandpa, Grandma, Jenny Lynn, Mark, Alyssa, and I went to Telluride and rode the gondolas. When we got to the top of the mountain they had the trampoline's that you tie off to budgie cords and go really high. Well no body will believe me and I forgot my camera so I don't have proof. But Alyssa did it!!! She was even flying pretty high. It was amazing, what a brave little girl. We took pictures on our camera phones, so if you don't believe me I can send you proof.

Then we went for a walk on the path next to the river. It was just a beautiful day!

I thought everyone that hasn't seen the famous Jenny Lynn would like some photos. You get both ends! I thought the second one was just so cute!!!

Kyron's Birthday Party

Kyron is the little boy in the bobcat with Mark, I guess in all the craziness of Alyssa pucking I didn't get any pictures of the Birthday Boy.

Kyron's Birthday started off a little interesting for us. On the way Alyssa said her stomach hurt, and when we got there she threw up on the driveway. Luckily it was on the ground not in the car. We got everything cleaned up and she was ready to play. She took of in the gator (Kyron's Birthday Present) the minute we let her go.

Margie bought tractor kits that we had to put together and the kids painted. It was actually alot of fun. Alyssa enjoyed painting hers and is so proud of her work. But is was alot of work for all involved.

Kelly Green Clinic

Alyssa had her 1st Kelly Green Practice on September 9th 2008. She thought it was pretty cool to be a Kelly Green! She had practices on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening and then Performed on Friday. She was really excited until the went out on the field, she said she was nervous (again with the nervous thing). The Kelly Green in the picture, Sam, had to carry her out onto the field, she said when she set her down Alyssa kept saying up, up. But Sam told her we have to dance now, Sam started dancing and Alyssa followed suit. She is the little one in the pink, in the middle of the picture. She did pretty good, for her first time on a football field performing for a stadium of people!

Alyssa's 1st Day of School

Alyssa started preschool today, September 2, 2008 at Pumpkin Patch Preschool. She was so excited! It took alittle while to leave her there but she didn't cry when I left, what a brave little girl. When I picked her up she was so excited, she asked to go to Miss Michelle's everyday! After preschool she went to play with Grandma and Grandpa for the day.

When Mark arrived home that night he asked her how her first day of preschool was. She replied, "I was nervous at first, but I ended up enjoying it." What three year old knows the word nervous or enjoyed for that matter! What a little smarty!

Albuquerque Zoo

Labor day weekend Mark, Alyssa and I went to Albuquerque to visit Micheal, Laura and the girls. We had a really good time! Laura and I took the girls to the zoo on Monday while the boys went out on the 4-wheelers.
We had a picnic in the grass and checked it all out.

The giraffe came up to the fence and people were feeding them, it was really neat to see. The zoo is always Alyssa's favorite thing to do. She loves to see all the animals.

The girls even talked me into riding the camel with them. It wasn't hard, I love to ride the camel too. I am just a big kid at heart!

It was a really fun day, and I think the girls always have a good time just being with each other!
