Michael's New Floors

After Thanksgiving we went to Albuquerque to help Michael with his new floors and Alyssa had a Dr's appointment to have her eye check out.

Michael gave the girls Markers and let them draw all over the concret floor, they thought that was great fun! I just hope they will remember that the wood floor is different! I can just see Alyssa drawing a pretty picture next time we are visiting.

The last piece of the puzzle!

It was a lot of hard work (for the boys) but it looks great!

We gave the girls there Christmas presents early since they were a calander to count down to Christmas!

As for the Dr's appointment, it just caused more frustration! The Dr was supposed to be a pediatric optomoligist and we had heard some really good things about him, but we were not impressed at all. The Dr basically told us it was cosmedic and to go away. He said it was a cyst, but since we have been home and able to look stuff up on the computer I cannot find anything about a cyst being directly on the eye. I think he was looney! He didn't even have the right eye to begin with, we should have know right then, he wouldn't be good. So I am going to make an appointment with another Dr her in Farmington that I have heard good things, too.

Alyssa made Turkey Cookies!

Thanksgiving was a nice holiday this year. We did the usual hop from house to house for dinner, but we enjoyed lots of good food (way too much of it as usual) and good company. Sharron and her family came up for the holiday and had Thanksgiving at Donald's house. We missed the family that couldn't be with us, and hope they will next year.

We also celebrated Anna's 21st Birthday with one of the many delicious deserts! Happy Birthday Anna!!

Jordan had a great Pirate birthday party! The kids had a great time and Alyssa loved it! They had a treasure hunt where they got new pieces of there costume when they found the clue. It was fun for children and parents as we tried to figure out the tricky clues!

Thank You Cluffs!!

Waiting for the fire to start

We used our fire pit we got for Christmas from the Cluff's for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We roasted Marshmallows and made Smores. They were really good. And the roaster sticks are great Thanks Ron (no eyes where poked out in the making of our Smores!!).

Alyssa didn't really like her marshmallows considering she usually caught them on fire but Rylee sure enjoyed her cooking!

I have a new receipt to try next time, Banana Boats, I can't wait till this weekend!

Feeding the Ducks

We went to Berg Park to feed the ducks a couple of Sunday's ago, and found out that bread (which we have fed them every other year) is not healthy for Ducks. So don't let any Park Rangers see these pictures, cause we let Alyssa feed them the bread anyway. Next time we will remember the corn, popcorn, or chicken feed.

We had a good time anyway, it was a beautiful fall day, we took a nice long walk, fed the ducks and played pooh sticks off the bridge.

Pumpkin Patch at Sutherland Farms

We went to the Pumpkin Patch at Sutherland Farms a couple of weeks ago and we had so much fun. I can't believe I have never heard about it before.

They have this great corn pit that we had a great time burying the kids in.










They have animals for you to pet and feed (well other people were feeding them corn out of the corn pit so we did too). Alyssa thought feeding the goats was great and the goats thought so too.










They had a pumpkin shooter, Alyssa being the brave child she sometimes is wanted to do that. She did a pretty good job and probably would have hit something too if she could have kept her eyes open when she pulled the trigger.

The last event of the day, we took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch and picked out our pumpkins, Alyssa would have taken everyone home if we would have let her. We had a great time and I know this will be a new fall tradition we do every year.
